These events were for the coveted DAAD scholarship programs viz. PRIME (Post Doc), Research Grants (PhD/ PhD Sandwich), Development related post graduate courses (EP0S) and Working Internships in Science & Engineering (WISE).

The handing over ceremony was facilitated by the German Ambassador, H.E. Dr. Philipp Ackermann and Director, DAAD Dr. Katja Lasch at the German Embassy New Delhi, Achim Fabig Consul General at the Mumbai Consulate, Manfred Auster Consul General at Kolkata Consulate and Michaela Küchler Consul General at her residence in Chennai. The handing over was followed by a Pre-Departure Session and Q&A round for the awardees.

The program aimed to applaud the students for receiving the prestigious DAAD scholarships as a result of their hard work. The events were very well received by the hosts as well as the guests headed to Germany in the coming months. They provided the scholarship holders a very good possibility to interact and network with fellow awardees, the Embassy/Consulates and the DAAD in the region.
