DAAD Regional Office New Delhi turns 65

Academic exchange between India and Germany began in 1948. The real breakthrough came in 1956 when 100 one-year scholarships were offered to Indian scholars. These scholarships were condensed into 50 two-year long Nehru scholarships as a number of other scholarships joined the fold. And then the DAAD established an office in India.

21 Bangladeshis heading to Germany

The German Embassy Dhaka together with DAAD Bangladesh hosted a Scholarship Certificate Ceremony to welcome the 2023 cohort of awardees. Out of the 21 scholarship holders, three of them are pursuing their PhDs while the other 18 have secured a scholarship in the Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS).
